world~citizen Posted November 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2008 I am a little confused. Are the alternate dining venues subject to surcharge or not? Smooth sailing...
Napi's Mom Posted November 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2008 I am a little confused. Are the alternate dining venues subject to surcharge or not? Smooth sailing... Not any more I understand, except they expect a tipping charge. When we were on Azamara we got 1 (2 for suites) free night, but now the 30$ charge is dropped except for I believe a $5???pp tip. Might be 10 but don't think so. You are limited to reservations, and don't think you can get them for every night.

There is an optional $5. pp gratuity charge which we felt was well worth it. At the end of the dinner the waiter brings a charge slip which includes a brief written explanation of the optional charge (this is brought at the same time as drink charge slips.) CJcruzer Posted November 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2008 There is absolutely no charge for alternative dining, the waiter will come at the end of the meal and present a slip that is not mandatory to sign, it is only recommended to tip $5 per person .... you are absolutely not pressured about this at all....
