cattolica Posted November 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Could someone who has been on the Golden recently tell me how many days the casino is closed? I know they have to be closed during the 4 port days, but are there additional days that they are not open when you get close to the Islands and then when you leave? I thought I heard that they could not be open once the ship enters Hawaiian waters. Thanks
cruznliz Posted November 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2008 We just returned from the Oct. 15-29 Golden cruise. The casino is closed all day and night for the 4 days at the islands. The Patter reads: "Please be advised that due to local custom regulations governing gambling, The Atlantis Casino will be closed during our transit through Hawaii." They close at some point after midnight (Sunday night/Monday morning) before approaching Hilo and re-open about 1 hour after sailing from Lahaina on Thursday. They are open day and night during all the sea days. (Tables open at noon on sea days. Slots are open 24 hours). When approaching Ensenada they closed at 11:00 AM and re-opened about an hour after sailing.
