swdke Posted November 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2004 I was hoping people might be able to share which tour to Berlin is recommended. I see a lot of postings for tours in St. Petersburg where it is seems ovbious that either Red October or Denrus is definately the way to go. Yet, surprisingly I see nearly nothing in the way of tour recommendations for Berlin. Why is this? Can anyone share their experiences and recommendations for tours to Berlin? Thank you. Globaliser Posted November 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2004 Can anyone share their experiences and recommendations for tours to Berlin? This is not a popular suggestion, nor is it for everyone. But Berlin is a big place, and most tours will railroad you (to a more or less literal extent) into taking in little snippets of the place. If you see particular things you'd like to see and do, I'd recommend renting a car at the port and driving yourself there and back (I assume that you'll be stopping on the Baltic coast). It's faster than taking any tour or the train that some cruise lines organise. And you have much more flexibility over what you do and how long you stay in each place - and it's much cheaper.
