pianoboy Posted November 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2004 Hello all, I'm new to CC and to cruising in general (although I substituted on the band on a Carnival way back in 1989!). My wife and I are going to be on Summit departing 1/16/2005, 6 nights in the Carribean. X's shore excursions are not offering stingray city for the Grand Cayman stop, so we've booked our own shore excursion, for which we must arrive by 9:15 am. The ship is scheduled to begin tender service at 7:00 am. Considering we will not have priority tender boarding, will we have time to board the tender and make it to our shore excursion (10 minute walk from the terminal) by 9:15? I'm asking because I've heard stories about long lines for tenders in the mornings. If necessary, I'll choose a later trip that doesn't last as long. Thanks for your help! Jason :)

JNLROSE Posted November 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2004 Just go down early & get one of the first tender tickets, you should have plenty of time!
springtxbill Posted November 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2004 The long lines for tenders last for about the first 45 minutes and after that no lines.
hancock Posted November 8, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2004 The times I have been on Grand Cayman with a Celebrity ship, ship's time was an hour ahead of GC. The ships don't always adjust their time to the local time zone. Keep that in mind.
