AOS Cabin 1688 vs 1690

I asked this on the main RCCL board but not any comments.

 

I have cabin 1690 booked on Adventure of the Sea and was very happy and excited to have this aft cabin until today. I was checking out available cabins and 1688 popped up. My first reaction was to put a 24 hr courtesy hold on it until I can reach my TA tomorrow. But now I am torn. :confused: We have stayed in 1388 on the Navigator so we know all about the cabin and balcony. I love the bigger cabin but didn't love the balcony as much. I saw some pictures of 1690s balcony and it is more open less cave-like. I probably will switch to 1688 and surprise my DH because he keeps asking if one of the corners has come up yet. Any thoughts or up to date pictures? Debbie

I went back and looked at Toonjie's review. He has some great pics of the room and balcony. I love that room!!! :D I am definitely going to switch.

Well, I don't even have to reply! ;) We had people from our meet & mingle in 1690 and we got to see the cabin and I would definitely say 1688 is much nicer! I think it's the best mix of cabin size and balcony size. You'll love it!
