Richjoxyz Posted November 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2008 I booked our cruise (Celebrity Galaxy Dec 29, 11-Night), and our flights, but we need a hotel. We'll be in San Juan Dec25th through the 29th.:D The hotel rates are high. Any ideas on how to beat the high rates? I'm trying priceline, but any other ideas will be appreciated! Thanks...
chefchick Posted November 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2008 I have been looking for a nice room Dec 25 & 26. Because of the holiday, rates are REALLY high, or at least they were, (I have been researching for a while). I think because of the economy, people are canceling their original vacation plans and hotel deals are starting to show up. Some of the resorts are coming out with "Winter Deals" such as the Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino. The rooms are still expensive but better than they were. They also have a special on right now with a resort credit for multiple night stays. Who knows? If you can be patient they might go even lower? I tried priceline and hotwire and I never got a good deal, (I assumed it was because of the holiday dates)? So I have been looking at expedia, travelocity, etc to keep up with prices. But one tip - if you find a good deal there, go the hotels website before booking. They often have the same prices or better and your won't pay the booking fees. Good luck to you. And just remember, no matter what you pay, just when you can't stand that cold weather anymore, you will be in sunny San Juan :)
