And probably the only way you will find accurate responses to your question. ;)
SheltieLady Posted November 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2008 I would go over to the Florida Board, go down to East Coast Departure then there is a seperate link for Florida Depetures and it's full of wonderful information. moffl Posted November 22, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted November 22, 2008 thanks we will be staying at the Marriott Hotel Fort Lauderdale North 6650 North Andrews Avenue
DrivesLikeMario Posted November 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2008 Everglades Holiday Park is a beautiful, natural place to take pictures. Just do a search for that name. It's about a 35 min. drive from the hotel. The air boat rides are fun too. There's a lot of picture-taking ops there. You can always drive down to South Beach too. Genghis Khan Posted November 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2008 We had a great time riding the water taxi's up and down the canals. Great photo ops as you pass by the beautiful homes and yachts. Recalled the price was reasonable. Got you close to lots of the sites along the beach and around Las Olas. Looked tough at times to get a boat along the middle stops. We got on and off near the ends.

Nana G Posted November 23, 2008 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2008 There is not much around the Marriott North. Hve been there 3 times. A nice little nature sanctuary next door but not much elde. If you have a car, that would be great.
moffl Posted November 24, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Sure would like to have a car but since we are from Saskatchewan Canada and the exchange rate along with everything else makes it kind of hard to rent a car especially if you come from s small town of 35000 and then try to drive in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. tinker 4 Posted November 24, 2008 #10 Share Posted November 24, 2008 If you have gone through Princess for your hotel then I would see if they can put you up in the one on 17st or in Plantation. Our first trip Princess put us up there and trust me when I say they have next nothing out there.
