IAH to Galveston port for 2

Just wondering what our options are for getting from IAH airport to the cruise terminal other than carnival's shuttle. Our flight gets in on Saturday night at 10:30pm and our cruise leaves the next day. I have read about limousine services, but don't know how that works since there are only 2 of us. I have also contacted the rental car companies, but enterprise is not open on Sunday for us to return the car and Hertz is not open in Galveston due to the hurricanes. Please let me know any suggestions you might have...this is turning out to be the most difficult part of our planning so far!!!

Your best bet is the Carnival shuttle as it will cost less than a limo service.

Limousine companies have town cars too. Sure they run higher than a regular shuttle, but there's no waiting on other people or in line for any length of time.

 

Gulf Coast Limousine out of Houston is one of many companies that provide this service.

We are using Galveston limo. Not much choise. I wanted to do rental car, that doesn't work out. Its more than I wanted to spend but seems to be the best way.

There are 4 of us and even the shuttle costs a huge amount. We finally settled on renting a car for the week and staying someplace where there is free parking. Does anyone know if the "off airport" rental cars are nearby International Airport? You pay a huge premium to get one there and I wondered if taking a cab to some other nearby rental agency would in the end save us piles of money?
