pppiglet Posted November 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I accidently recorded some video in compact mode, not standard and they are too small to really see on the computer when I play them back. Is there some way to resize these or am I just stuck with the small ones? :o
Rare pierces Posted November 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I accidently recorded some video in compact mode, not standard and they are too small to really see on the computer when I play them back. Is there some way to resize these or am I just stuck with the small ones? :o Sorry...stuck. You can probably use a video editor to expand and save them as a larger-size video, but while the resolution may change, the detail from the smaller file won't get any better. The scenes in TV crime dramas where they pull a portrait-quality head shot from a mini-mart security camera are a lot like the 22-shot revolvers they always seem to carry. MonaCK Posted November 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2008 The way that I equate picture resizing to a larger size (whether photo or video) is this: Imagine you are given an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. You take that piece of paper, rip it in half, and then burn one half of it. And then you take the half you have left, and want it to be a whole piece of paper again. Impossible, right? It's just as impossible with small sized pictures and video. You -can- make it larger, but it'll lose the quality that it has on the smaller scale. Just like you can try to create a larger piece of paper if you try to glue pieces to your smaller sized piece.
