Dinner at Chops - dining options for kids?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question or not, but I thought I would try! We are going to be on our first cruise in March, sailing on RCI's Independence of the Seas, and my husband and I would really like to try eating at Chops Steakhouse one night. However, we will be travelling with our 12 and 13 year olds and are not sure what our options are for feeding them at dinner. Are we best to book a later dinner and feed them early at the Windjammer or Johnny Rockets, and then once they're in the teen area head off to Chops for a later dinner? I wasn't sure if there are any dinners that the kids go to in a group on certain nights. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much,

MouseGirl

Adventure Ocean takes the kids to Johnny Rockets or pizza on a couple of nights on the cruise. One formal night and another night. I'm not sure if they do this for the teens though. They did for my son who was 6. Maybe somebody else could clear it up. But yes I would make a later dinner at Chops as to make sure they are fed.

They do have a Teen Dinner on the Freedom class but it is held in Windjammer at 8pm (see below). I can't predict when it will be held on Independence though because none of the AO pages have been posted yet for those sailings.

They can eat anywhere before they go to the teen club which opens at 8pm. Just be flexible.
