Where will HAL dock in San Juan - free trolley available??

I will be arriving in San Juan on the Maasdam December 12/22/08. Wondering where we will dock - I found a list on the internet that showed Maasdam would be at 1W...will that be one of the piers near town or PanAm across the way? I was hoping to just walk into OSJ and also to the forts. However, if we come in at PanAm is there a free trolley into town or could I still walk to OSJ?

The "Dam" cruises dock for the day in OSJ. That is Pier 1-4 are right there, at the waterfront in the Old City. You can walk to the good stuff. If it really docks at Pier 1, you are directly across the street from the PR tourism company office and Don Q (both with free rum drink bars!). Not far from a trolley stop.

The nearest trolley stops to the piers in Old San Juan are stops #1 and #14.
