maryn680 Posted December 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2008 We are on NCL Spirit leaving NOLA on 12/14/08....will be in Belize on the 18th. Husband would really like to dive, he's experienced and does very well. Besides local dives, he's dived in Costa Maya, and Brazil a few times. We've contacted local Dive Co's, and they've heard of some interest but no one has booked enough for a dive. Anyone interested in divind on the 18th? The local co's we contacted are Sea Sports and Coral Breezes. Help, he really wants to dive in Belize

Help, he really wants to dive in Belize If you search this board you'll find the general recommendation, and this is an exception, is to book through the ship. The reasoning is, the ship tenders fairly far out from the docks and the reefs are 1/2 hour away from the ship in the opposite direction. The ship's excursion is allowed to load directly from the ship so the time it saves having to go ashore, then head out, motor back in, then tender back to the ship uses up a lot of dive time. So in this case, it's better just to simplify things by booking the ship's tour. Randall
cccole Posted December 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I agree with the above post. Belize is the one port where we book through the ship.

tootsiescurly Posted December 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2008 We have used Sea Sports in the past and has always been happy with them. I take it you had 4 people? They are less than helpful if you do not have 4 people in our experience.
