camella Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 We are going on jewel in July for a Baltic cruise and we are being told that this ship is supposed to be their flagship and it is supposed to be wonderful. We went on Radiance to Alaska a few years ago and the food was disgusting. Haven't been back to RCI since. I'm hoping they have improved. We just got off Celebrity constellation and the food was delicious!! BTW Celebrity is sold out for their Baltic cruises. Any thoughts?
Brandis Posted April 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2004 We were on Brilliance, which is also Radiance class, and the food was quite good... catlady Posted April 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2004 HI, We have been on both the Radiance and the Brillance and found the food was great on Brillance and terrible on Radiance. I wonder if it was the chef. We are booked on an eastern caribbean with Jewel. Have to wait and see. Would like to know what you thought of the food when you get back from your cruise. jstducky Posted April 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2004 camella... i think its hard to say at this point as Jewel isn't even sailing yet. her first voyage isn't until April 28th and I beleive her official inaugural voyage isn't until the beginning of May. so we'll just have to wait and see what people say... i can't wait until i go on jewel in september! the pictures of her look fantastic! jstducky! ----------------- ...til 9/04 - Jewel of the Seas - Canada / New England ==================================== ...til 7/04 - Zuiderdam - Western Caribbean ===================================== 7/03 - Zaandam - Alaska 4/03 - Norweigan Star - Hawaii 7/96 - Noordam - Alaska 7/96 - Golden Princess - Alaska 8/95 - Jubilee - Mexican Riviera <center> <a href="http://www.escati.com/counter98/free_time_codes.htm"> </center>
Rare MVPinBoynton Posted April 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2004 We were on the Brilliance last year and the dining room food was OK, but not up to Celebrity standards in my opinion. We will be on the Jewel in June and will post a review at that time. Since Brandis is on the first mini cruise, he will be able to give you an early review.
