Jewel deck plan question

Hi folks!

 

I'm just studying the deck plans to get an idea of our cabin relative to the rest of the ship. on deck 12, across from the garden cafe, the deck plans depict several large, gold colored "U" shapes. any idea what these are? our room is directly below, so i'm very curious!

Those are the 'action stations' for the buffet. At meal times, hundreds of passengers will be standing in line there waiting to get food. It closes at 11:30 pm I think. Behind them are kitchen areas, I believe. There will be workers in that area in the early morning and all day long.

 

I can't speak for the noise that you might get, but there will be lots of activity during most of the day in that area.

They are the serving stations for the buffet. Pretty good setup. When you go there say "Hi" to the ice cream machine next to them. It'll remember me.

i guess we'll bring ear plugs just in case! i'd be more irritated by lots of noise after 11:30 than i think i will with early morning noise, so it could certainly be worse!
