Krazy Kruizers Posted November 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2004 For the better part of 2 weeks now we have been watching the plant in our cabin die - the main section was cut away a long time before we got on the ship. There are 2 starts on the plant and neither was looking great when we got on the ship. Our cabin steward pulled off the section that has died and 2 of the 6 leaves on the other section. He also removed the dead flowers from the coffee table - more about this later. Having been to this port a couple of other times we didn't take a tour. The ship actually arrived on time. We took the tender and we're greeted with a band playing on the pier - just like before. Before when we were here the vendors were all located in a building right at the pier. This time all the vendors were all set up along the street right outside the 2 security check points. One was a farce - the guy just opened the gate and let everyone walk through without checking any ID's. Gee - we didn't get any certificates for visiting the place like the one time when we were here - oh well - scrap books are getting full. Since the ship leaves this port at 1 PM today is the Octoberfest Buffet by the Lido Pool: German Kartoffel salad; sauerkraut; smoked pork loin in butter sauce; assorted German sausages; garlic mashed potatoes; spaetzle; rostbraten; schwartzwalder kirch; German chocolate cake and pretzels.
