WC passenger check in in San Pedro NCL

Has anyone sailed out of San Pedro on NCL recently that is in a wheel chair? what did you do when you arrived at the pier? Do you get in the regular long line? do they pull you out of the line once they spot you? do they have another line you are suppose to go in? This trip I will be a balcony passenger but not suite, [like how many ships have HC suites even these days]

I just want to avoid as much confusion as possible, since it seems every port and cruise I have taken has handled this differently.

So any info would be helpful.

Have not sailed NCL for many years, and never out of SP, but when we have gone on Princess or Celebrity out of SP they have had a separate line for those with obvious disabilities (wheelchairs, etc.) and staff generally will direct you there. If your disability is not obvious, then you should approach a NCL staff person and ask for directions. Just be warned that there is little or no covered areas outside the terminal, so if you get there early there may be considerable time in the sun (or rarely) rain. We always plan to arrive between 1:30PM and 2PM and find that we nearly always just get right onto the ship with little or no line at all.

If you are in a chair or have a walker they will send to the check in area via and elevator. At the check in area there is a priority lane for you. At check in they will give you and your companion (s) a h/c boarding pass and directed to seperate room. You are then ordinarily met by a ship's porter and wheeled aboard.
