Celebrity Summit -Rooms 6143/6144

My wife & I have booked 6143 on b2b Summit sailings in January 2010. I just read something about a butler service area between this cabin and the suite next door. Also read that the crew uses the “balcony” of this service area???

Can anyone that has stayed in this room (or 6144 on the other side) describe what this “service area” is, how it (& its balcony) is used & any impact it has on staying in 6143. I guess noise is my prime concern.

Everyone raves about these two rooms (6144 & 6143) so I’m guessing it’s not a big a deal….the set-up just seems odd & it’s better to know about things before you get there.

Thanks for any enlightenment!

We have been on the Summit but not in 6144. We did sail in 6144 on her sister Millie, so perhaps I can help.

6143 is a Concierge Class cabin with all of the perks listed including priority embarkation and disembarkation. The cabin is the largest in the Concierge class. It has a teak deck just like the Sky Suite next door.

There is a butler's pantry next to the cabin on the forward side. The butler's pantry runs from the corridor to the balcony. The stewards and suite butlers use this area to store their service carts so they do not block the hallway. There is a gate to your balcony from the balcony service area, which was not locked on our cruise. There is also a maintenance area which will not impede your view. We did see crew there a couple of times during our two weeks.

The cabin was wonderful and we never heard a peep from the stewards or crew.

You have the best CC cabin on the ship. Enjoy!!!

If you have any additional questions I will be glad to answer them.
