Question re: Noordam casino

I was recently on the Eurodam and they had introduced a new method of payment with their slot machines. You inserted your ship card, registered, and worked off your "bank" in the card. It was very inconvenient and confusing to many and I was wondering if they have the same system on the Noordam as we are traveling on her in January.

Same system on Noordam. The "older" people seem to have the most trouble. I helped quite a few. What I didn't like was having a machine open up that I wanted to play, and the machine was taken by the time I put in my pin number to change machines. The only complaint I had about the Noordam was the small size of the casino.

The casino machines remained opened all night before a sea day. We got so frustrated waiting for a machine to be free to play that we went to bed, set the alarm for 3 a.m. and went to the casino. We three were the only ones there and played any machine we wanted. It was fun!:D

And if you win a jackpot, how do you call an attendant to get paid out?

The Casino still has a manager and a couple of attendants on duty, walking thru the space. They keep an eagle eye on the machines and come over if a jackpot is won, or a player needs assistance. If one of the staffers is not in view, the cashier in the casino cage will radio them to go where they are needed...
