Fantasy Christmas Cruise

Hi all,

 

We are back from our cruise. Embark went very smoothly and we were onboard eating at 11:45am and Cabin (E112) was ready at 1:00pm

 

Sail away was very cold in the 30’s! The first Sea day was warm but very windy. We didn’t let the weather conditions bother us and had a great day. I'm not going to post a review of the same ole stuff. Just a few pics and if anyone has any questions. Shoot away.

This picture didn't come out that great, but we did the Cigar under the Stars with the Captain. I have to say this Captain was the best. He also did a Q&A in the Universal lounge that was very fun.

Hey great pictures! We were on the Ecstasy this week and we docked next to each other (of course you already know that haha). So did yall have rough seas on the first sea day? We some rough water that day. Just wondering how that was for yall. We talked to our dining room host and her boyfriend was on the Fantasy and said there was a flu outbreak was that true?

They said we had 6ft seas and the ship was rocking on the first night. I don't know anything about a flu outbreak. but a few people were getting sick. We had a great time!

The weather was great the rest of the cruise in the high 80's and last night the temp dropped when we were getting closer to New Orleans. We didn't do any excursions this trip, but we did walk around the towns.

New Year's Cruise sounds like fun. Get to the shows early, they fill up fast! Have a great trip!

The pictures just look so great! We can't wait to see the ship and experience all that the Fantasy has to offer! We have sailed on the Ecstasy which we have heard is much like the Fantasy

 

We are staying in E193. How did you find the rooms? I hate to bring up the awful subject but was there an odor and how was the water?

Not a cruise question, but..... the picture of the pool is so great, what type of camera did you take this pic with?

How did you find the rooms? I hate to bring up the awful subject but was there an odor and how was the water?

 

We found the cabin to be quite comfortable. We were on the Empress deck and my GF said she smelled something one night in the hall, but I didn't smell anything bad. I did notice some sections of carpet in the hall always wet. We didn't care for the water at all, but we also bring our own water.

Seeing the pic of the Fantasy and Ecstacy together brings back so many memories!

 

At one point, the Fantasy and Ecstacy were Carnivals Newest and Biggest - the first two Fantasy Class ships!

 

Many ships later... and many cruises later... they still look terrific.

We mostly walked around shopped and ate at Corona beach in Progreso and Three Amigo's in Cozumel. Well, we don't care for the buffet. So we mostly eat in the dining room and I'm a steak & potatoes man.

We were on the Fantasy last January and we docked at the downtown pier, but I think I've read the Fantasy is now docking at the Puerta Maya pier, since it was rebuilt. Thanks.

 

Also, how was the casino hosts: Amber and Denver??

We were on the Fantasy last January and we docked at the downtown pier, but I think I've read the Fantasy is now docking at the Puerta Maya pier, since it was rebuilt. Thanks.

The Fantasy docks at the Puerta Maya Pier and our cab dropped us off in front of Carlos & Charlies for $7 bucks. I just pull slots, so didn't speak with the Casino host.

So you had an inside room?? I've never stayed in one and have one for my Fantasy cruise in February....I was worried about it a little thinking I'd be claustrophobic but yours looks plenty roomy! I'm traveling with a girlfriend so I guess it will be two twins...But I think if I don't pull back that curtain on the window I'll be great. Thanks for posting the pics! Helped me a lot!!

We found the cabin to be very spacious and there was no window in our cabin, just a curtain.
