Destiny dinner option in the dining room?

Do they offer an alternative menu besides the menu being served? I like that on RC there is an alternative menu always available if you do not like what is served that night...last time we sailed on Carnival we only ate in the dining room once because we did not like what was on the menu. After coming home we found out (here) that you can always order a steak or something else...is this still true??

Yep, there are a few standard selections available every night. Its a steak, a burger and some other stuff I can't recall off the top of my head. Its nice always having the steak option!

Great news!! I just read a review for the Destiny, a recent one, and the person said there were NOT any other options!

Unless something has very recently changed (since September) they had alternative selections on the menu for my last Inspiration cruise.

In Nov on the Destiny, I remember seeing the alternative list at the bottom of the page with the Entree's on it. I was surprised, actually, there was more of a selection than just NY strip steak, which is all I thought they offered. I could be wrong though, I always like what is offered for the evening so don't pay a lot of attention to it.

Same as in November. They changed the menus fleetwide in the spring to summer timeframe, so they wouldn't change them again so soon. On the bottom half of the right side menu is "Carnival Classics" that include things like the steak, burger, grilled chicken breast, salmon, baked potato, fries, Caesar salad, etc.

There have been some nights my son didn't want things that were on the menu. One night he ask for something that I thought they wouldn't have... The waiter told me he would check and said it would be a little bit, but he would make it happen. Sure enough he did. I think it all depends on who you get staff wise and what they will do for you...
