kooljamming Posted December 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2008 I got this idea from this poster 'hkolln' - Helen. Here is my list along with a few pics: Montego Bay - I experience one of the most amazing sunset Negril- I walked down Bamboo Ave, enjoyed YS Falls, strolled the 7 miles stretch of Negril Beach, saw my kids jumped from the cliffs Ocho Rios (or close to)- spent a day at Coyaba River Garden and Museum, climbed Dunn's River, drove through Fern Gully, visited Bob Marley birth place and a local market. I gave a stranger something and she said "God Bless You". I knew she meant those words. In Jamaica among great poverty I have seen such beauty, heard more laugher than anywhere I have ever been. kooljamming Posted December 29, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted December 29, 2008 Sunset in Montego Bay Sandy white beach in Negril Cliffs in Negril YS Fall close to Negril - not as endearing as Dunn's River but visually more breath-taking Coyaba River Garden and Museum in Ocho Rios - A splendid botanical garden and waterfall

kooljamming Posted December 30, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Visit a local market or school. Enjoy the driving skills of your guide. The place is best seen on a tour, with someone else's hand on the wheel and a Red Stripe in yours.
kooljamming Posted December 30, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted December 30, 2008 These are not seen in brochures but still there: a one room house, a local shop, neighborhood street, a cement tank for holding water and tomorrows breakfast.
Grego Posted December 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Seems like everytime we have been to Jamaica we end up doing the same things depending on which port we use - Dunns River Falls, Blue Mountains, Plantation this and Plantation that.... This time we see a new offering that includes: St. Ames Bay Seville Heritage Park Fern Gully (OK that should have been on the list above as well) and Wassi Pottery. Has anyone had experience with any of these?
