Sheltered Balconies, Revisited

This may be news for most of you, but it looks like Carnival will be revisiting the sheltered balcony concept with the Carnival Dream... though it does look like their windows will be cut substantially lower in order to facilitate that sea view...

(Ah, well, it still doesn't mean I'll be traveling on Carnival over QM2 :p)

Chalk and cheese!

Ocean going liner or cruise ship.

QM2 has these because of the transatlantic crossings and suit the purpose perfectly and are so much better than portholes.

I can understand that if you are mainly warm waters island hopping a glass balcony would be better.

Having tried both types of balcony on the QM2 i much prefer the in hull for a transatlantic crossing..
