Cayo Levantado or Safari Excursion

Ok guys...I seriously need some opinion....having a hard time making a decision on what excursion to do in Samana DR in a week.

 

I really want the extra beach time....( Cayo ) but husband thinks the safari one would be cool. I too think it would be interesting...but has anyone done either of them,? and what selling point would you have for me?

My nieces chose Cayo Levantado and found it their favorite beach of the trip during our cruise last week (they didn't make it to Trunk Bay on St. John).

We just returned from the Jewel and loved Cayo. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to the day and thought it would be my least favorite. Well, needless to say, I was wrong. The beach was very pretty and there was a wide selection of food and local crafts. I found the locals to be very friendly and not too aggresive. We thought about the safari, but 2 of our girls were not old enough, so maybe another time. Have a great trip. Janice
