NJBill Posted April 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2004 This is my first time on RCCL, and it sounds really nice. I read there is a $9.50 "consumption fee" should you wish to purchase a bottle of liquor aboard ship. Is this per bottle, per person, per cabin? Also, are the prices you pay minus all of the USA taxes. If so, it still sound like a good deal. Thanks. Grandeur Of The Seas Aug 2004 Disney Wonder Sept 2003
jean-lynd Posted April 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2004 The per bottle or per purchase seems to vary. When we were on the Voyager they had two bottles of Absolut for $18.95 plus $9.50. No taxes - came out to a little over $14/bottle. I hope this helps! aqusis Posted April 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2004 We've often experienced a 'first night' special where the first night, no matter how many bottles you buy you pay 1x$9.xx fee and take them back to your room. After that, the fee is per bottle to take back to your room or they will hold until last day at no extra charge. Mike&Lorraine Posted April 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I have another question. Do they sell wine in the duty free on board? If so, what is the selection like? I'm not on hard liquor, but I do enjoy a good glass of wine.
VickiVSN Posted April 22, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2004 No wine that I can remember in the gift shops, but you can order it room service. JFasbender Posted April 22, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Do they have any beer available, or just hard liquor?

gabbygirl123 Posted April 22, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 22, 2004 I'm almost positive that there isn't any beer. That is pretty much all that dh drinks so I'm sure that we would have stocked up. You can always buy a bucket on the pool deck and bring them back to your room for later. 05/15/04 Navigator of the Seas
