Early flight out of San Juan info

Can anyone comment please on whether a 10am departure out of SJU is too early? (We're ready to walk off with bags)

 

I see that the ship arrives in SJ at 5am. I assume customs etc starts earlier because almost everyone has fairly great distances to travel.

No experience with SJ. Just read a post where a ship arrived a day late. Medical emergency forced a return to port. I would go noon on. What time do they expect to clear customs and start to unload. I have been on some ships where this took a couple of hours.

We've sailed out of SJU three times. I do not recommend booking a departing flight before noon.

The ship may get in at 5am but customs rarely starts before 7am, usually closer to 8am or later. Earliest flight I would recommend out of SJU is noon.
