Kineticoh20 Posted January 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2009 We purchased the cook book on our last cruise and also got the recipe for the unbelievable Lobster bisque (yum) however we have not made 1 recipie. I was curious if anyone else has the book and actually uses it lol. If you did what did you make? and how did it turn out?

Rangers1982 Posted January 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I have cooked from the book, it wasn't very easy to follow, found the measurements confusing (how big/heavy is a cup of something)? For our anniversary i made my wife the following; Porcini & wild mushroom soup (pg160) Beef Wellington (pg210) Chantilly Swans swimming in a lake of Chocolate (pg174) It was all very nice but i think the book is probably best left on a coffee table. CruisinChris Posted January 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I have cooked from the cookbook and have no issues with it whatsoever. The recipes for the most part are very nice versions of classic preparations. IT's nice for entertaining in particular. I suppose that should be prefaced by noting that I'm a fairly capable home cook.
Momma Mojito Posted January 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Just got my cookbook this week and plan on using it. That is if I can find all the ingredients at my local grocery.
