kag19 Posted January 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I was just wondering if anyone knows if you pre-book extras from Royal Caribbean before your cruise like excursions and wine packages and end up not being able to go on the cruise for some horrible, unforeseen reason are you still responsible for the cost of the extras you pre-booked? Thanks in advance!
fungirl28 Posted January 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I believe if you have cruise insurance you can get a refund, (as long as it's a covered incident) I would assume that you would get a refund for and prebooked excursions or gear, but you know what they say about assumptions. You may want to call in to be sure.
kag19 Posted January 9, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Thanks! I did buy the trip insurance (thankfully) and booked it through a TA. I may call my TA and have her do the work to find out the answer to my question. I emailed RCI earlier in the week but have not got a response yet. fungirl28 Posted January 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2009 That's a good move. I called RCCL and I was told that any pre-booked extras will be refunded, but hae your TA call also.
Chancec Posted January 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I know dining room & excursions require 24 hr notice to get a refund. I'd cancel now and save trouble later, plus your credit card will get credited.
