what is close to the pier

Is there shopping and a beach within walking distance of the pier? We have 2 adults and 3 teens.

Some major stores including Boolchands, DI, etc. Also some flea market type shacks. Plus booths for snacks, drinks. Nothing on the order of Havensight on St. Thomas.

 

Great Bay Beach is nearby, a nice boardwalk. Good place to rent loungers and watch the scenery. There are sewage issues here, nasty microbes which will not appear to the naked eye. Many people who stay on the island for 2-3 weeks a year will not put their toe in the water here.

easy to walk to shopping -nice beach. Not private at all but close. All the usual shopping plus the flea market stuff. The best shopping is in St. Martin. Better than St. Thomas in my opinion. I usually save my major shopping for here and get better prices.
