vancouvergirl2010 Posted January 16, 2013 #26 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Here is the best link for info on the Coral or Island balconies. http://mysite.verizon.net/res76zxu/princessbalconies/index.html I bring Tide pods in a tupperware container for laundry and get quarters in the casino. Anytime dining is ok. I prefer a scheduled seating though, to eat with the same people every night and have the same waiter. We love that these ships are smaller than others! vancouvergirl2010 Posted January 16, 2013 #27 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Welcome to Cruise Critic. Check this site out; I've linked it so it should open to the page showing Aloha deck, and the plan will indicate which balconies are covered and which uncovered. Plus that site has some great photos and you may be able to see your balcony in one of the pics. http://mysite.verizon.net/res76zxu/princessbalconies/id1.html I can't see why not. While there's no IC, the La Patisserie in the same spot on Deck 5 has a full bar, and there's a good-sized seating area, too. Can you tell me what is served at the Patisserie? It's been a few years since we were on this ship.
caribill Posted January 16, 2013 #28 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Can you tell me what is served at the Patisserie? It's been a few years since we were on this ship. Besides liquids, not much. A few pastries in the AM and some cookies in the PM.
vancouvergirl2010 Posted January 16, 2013 #29 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks for the info. We really enjoy the International Cafe…we will miss it on our next Coral Cruise.
PunkiC Posted January 16, 2013 #30 Share Posted January 16, 2013 We just love the Island and the Coral. The Horizon Court in the bow is a wonderful place to sit and watch the ocean. I once saw a whale breach out in front of the ship. The dance floor in the Wheelhouse is also much nicer than on the larger ships. We just love cruising on any ship, but especially like the Coral/Island ships.

I don't think you will MISS it, provided you walk by the casino...it was just added! cruiseclues Posted November 16, 2013 #32 Share Posted November 16, 2013 Do a quick search for Coral Princess and you'll get a wealth of threads about this fabulous ship... one of the best in Princess' fleet IMHO. You can request robes in the Cruise Personalizer and they'll be in your stateroom. If not, just ask your cabin steward. Anytime dining is just that. Go when you want. Depending on what time and if you want a table for two, you may have to wait a bit. They'll give you a pager. Generally, if you don't mind sitting with others, you'll get seated sooner. You can also make reservations if you want. No cost to use any pool. You'll probably find the indoor pool most comfortable in Alaska. Enjoy your cruise! I'm not finding a wealth of recent threads about the Coral Princess, especially any which comment on specific aspects of the food except generalities and one or two which said the food was disappointing. hollon Posted November 16, 2013 #33 Share Posted November 16, 2013 My father and I were on the Coral Princess in November/December for the Acapulco to Fort Lauderdale transit of the Panama Canal. It was our first time on her and we were very impressed with the ship. We requested the bathrobes, but found them to be a bit skimpy (i.e., not the most generous to wrap around plus size bodies). Loved our balcony room (had a great steward), and our favorite bar was the Wheelhouse. If I can answer any further questions, just let me know. Can you request the plush/big think robes, needed one for alaska. Do they have them for plus size? or do you have to buy them? When we were on princess i ask for a robe and it didn't help at all (wish I brought mine from home - but too big for luggage)
