flashdog_1 Posted January 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Never having been to a surcharge restaurant on NCL I have not read any small print. On another line I have read that the surcharge IS the tip, which at $30 pp seems a little high! So I wonder how NCL looks at it. I'm asking for the official word, (not your individual preference on how much) or if you are expected to tip. Thanks

You are not expected to tip, however if the service far exceeds your expectations, then by all means you are entitled to add more if you choose to. Keep in mind you are paying the surcharge partly for superior (ie excellent) service.
