Juice for mixer

What type (flavor) of rum is best to bring given the mixers available? I'm trying to plan what I'll need in my rum runners (thanks to everyone who left this great tip!!) for my boyfriend and I next month.

I use Absolute Citron and bring my own "mix in" Sugar free drinks and add them to water first. Very yummy and vey light in the old suit case!:D

I worked a Tiki bar at Clearwater Beach, Fl, and this is the recipe we used. The blackberry brandy makes a difference.

 

Rum Runners

1 1/2 oz light rum

3/4 oz blackberry brandy

1/4 oz grenadine syrup

1 1/2 oz orange juice

1 1/2 oz pineapple juice

fill with ice

1 oz Myer's® dark rum

 

 

Mix with ice and shake. You can pour 151 rum down a straw for a "float"
