Cost of excursions keep rising...?

Hi again!

So you know I've been trying to decide on a trip...I'm within a day of booking (HOORAY!), but I noticed the cost of the excursions keeps going up. Is that pretty normal? One went from $99 a week ago and tonight it's $149 tonight. Another was $28 last week and tonight it's $40. Will they just keep going up?

Another question I have - people keep talking about how full their ships are or what cabins are still available. How do you know? Is there a place you can look to see what's left or what's been booked? I ask because right now the balcony I'm looking at is only a guarantee - no cabin numbers - and just wondered if there is a way to see what it *might* be. ;-)

Thanks!

Natalie

The best way to find out what cabins are available is to CALL the cruiseline--they'll tell you what's open.

As far as excursions....I've never noticed an increase in prices....but we don't book many (if any) excursions! We go to the beach...easily done on your own!

Usually the cost of the excursions go up once a year as the contracts are being finalized with the tour operators. On the majority of cruise lines they do not fluctuate.

Your best bet to find out if there are unassigned cabins in the category you have booked or are considering booking is to contact the cruise line directly.
