Key West Deep Sea Fishing

Has anyone ever been deep sea fishing in Key West. We are trying to determine if Cozumel or Key West would be better. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've fished over a hundred days offshore in Key West. I know fishermen in Cozumel and, from what I've heard, it sounds like both places are similar, although Key West his a greater diversity of fish. Both spots offer a good chance to hook up with sailfish, especially in the Keys this time of year. But in Cozumel, you may have a better chance at other billfish, such as blue and white marlin.

 

Right now it is especially windy in Key West, so no one will be heading offshore for a couple days. When it does lay down, expect another good bite.
