Another HMC question

We can't wait to be there in January. We have reserved horseback riding for the morning and DH is going to do the kayak thing in the afternoon.

Is there much of a problem with sand fleas there? I remember a couple of years ago when we went to the NCL private island they were numerous and bothersome, but that was in April. - Jane

My experience with sand fleas (having grown up in Florida) is that they really aren't fleas at all. They are just little gnats that are barely visible. I think that the name fleas came from the fact that their bite feels like a flea bite. The good thing about them is that once you shower you don't get the after itch that comes with a typical flea bite. Not to worry! Chef Nancy:)
