Nassau on Sunday

Cruising on the Glory 1/31/09. We'll be in Nassau on Sunday. I think I read somewhere that the shops are all closed on Sunday. Does this include the straw market? GASP--was looking forward to those knock-off Coach purses!!

The Straw Market of Nassau Bahamas is open 7 days a week, from about 7am to 8pm.

We have been to Nassau on Sunday and straw market was open. Careful of the 'knock off' bags. I doubt it is legal to import counterfeit name brand merchandise. All the local flea markets in our area that used to sell them have had arrests for selling such merchandise. I wouldn't think it a good idea to come through customs with that. :eek:
