imnance Posted January 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Could you please compare the kids clubs for me? Is one better than the other? The child in question is 5. Thanks for any help.:)
rebeccalouise Posted January 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2009 I have sailed both lines and my son had a good time on both. I don't think one is necessarily better than the other.
crusinmama06 Posted January 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2009 At the link in my signature are some pages from each cruise line. You can look at the activities yourself and see the differences. My only personal experience with NCL, my daughter was 2 at the time. I didn't love the program. But it was on an older ship and they didn't have the facilities back then that they have now. I've always thought Carnival was a wonderful program for that age group (2-5). CeleBrat Posted January 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Yes! To both, several times... Check the kids pages in cruisinmama's signature, and look at the various types of activities. I can share, that some things that NCL DOES have that Carnival doesn't is: 1--A kids-size playground (NCL Star had bouncy horses and a teeter-totter), while Carnival has no kids "dry" area on an outside deck. 2--A cool kid-themed pool (NCL Star had a rocket-ship themed pool with slide and NCL Gem had animal pool/fountains), while CArnival usually just has a shaped/circular wading pool. 3--The NCL Kids Clubs have a ball pit or climby-jungle gym thing for the younger set. Carnival does not. We do enjoy both cruise lines though... CeleBrat
