Travel agent/OBC questions

Maybe booking 2 Courtyard suites. Had some trouble with an AA, as NCL's rule is "2" occupants even though the 3rd would be a 10 month old in a crib. Was looking at other lines partially due to this.

TA says he spoke with NCL, got it okayed. I told him to send that to me in writing, he did on what appears to be a preliminary NCL invoice where the 1 infant IS listed.

Never used this TA....can I belive this? Don't want to find out onbaord I got charmed.

Also, NCL's site says $500 per suite, OBC. How does that work? At the end of the cruise, on my final bill will I just see the OBC appear?

Thank you.

I don't know what a "preliminary" NCL invoice looks like, but your travel agent should be able to send you a Guest Copy confirmation that includes all information including names of all guests and information about the on board credit. It also should include the reservation number and if you are concerned you can call NCL, give them the reservation number and have them check everything for you. Also, you should be able to log into MyNCL on the NCL website and find out all the info on your reservation.

Suites get $500 obc with ncl's promotion, but this ends Feb. 1st. Also ask about the Am. Express $100 promo if you want to pay with that card. It was a Visa promo up until last Tues. You can't use obc for the casino or gratuities, but you sure could book some of those great specialty restaurants!

We've never had a problem with OBC's being credited - but I always take documentation with me just in case. Your TA will receive a copy of the NCL Guest Confirmation - just ask them to send it along to you. I wanted NCL-generated docs that indicated our OBC's and they sent me the NCL Guest Confirmation.

One question - did NCL charge a fee for the 3rd guest or is the fact that this is an infant mean no charge?

You can't use obc for the casino or gratuities,

bluefintuna, I've been reading that recently this is no longer true. I don't know if it has to do with the refunding of the fuel surcharge in the form of an OBC or not, but people have been reporting consistently that they were able to use the OBC for casino and gratuities.

The invoice should say NCL at the top and have everything broken down as to cost plus a notation referring to the third person. As for the OBC, it normally shows up on the invoice but can be hard to stop. It will appear just above the info that says important information.
