available cabins...what's the deal?

Planning to sail to Alaska on the NCL Pearl May 17. The cabin map for every deck shows 6 cabin choices. Does anyone have any insider info on why that is? Our hope with the GTY is a possible upgrade from a porthole to a picture window. If I thought there was really only 6 cabins left in each category, then I would definitely book the GTY. What do you think the chances are NCL would actually tell me how many cabins are unassigned in a specific category if I were to call them directly?

Thank you.

Along with what Toyz said, keep in mind that cabin availability moves around quite a bit. Some agencies have blocks reserved. Lots of people book a cabin, but then cancel when it comes time for final payment. You can drive yourself nuts trying to figure it out.
