Pre-booking of Shore Excursions

Thanks to an indecisive spouse, we wasted enough time that one of the excursions that we really wanted on our upcoming Infinity cruise to Hawaii is listed as sold-out on the Celebrity site. However, there is a comment about checking on-board.

 

Does anyone know if Celebrity makes all the slots on a excursion available for pre-booking, or if some fraction is held back for on-board booking?

 

I don't want to arrange something else, and then find out later that there was space on the tour we wanted.

Unfortunately, no hold-backs (based on my own experience). But there might be cancellations so get on the waitlist.

I don't know where your going or what your doing, but there are a lot of tour companies out there. Get Goggle and check it out.

Which Infinity cruise are you doing? We're on the April 6 cruise and we still don't have shore tours for our cruise. They first told us end of October.Now I hear the end of November!

We are on the Infinity 12/4. When I booked the shore excursions, one that we wanted was not available check on board one day. Three days later it was available and we booked it. Just keep checking it may open up.

I did find a satisfactory work around for the Waipi'o vally tour. Naturally, it is cheaper, but we will have to rent a car and drive up. The plus is a chance to do some Big Island sightseeing on our own schedule.

 

The tougher one is the Lanai snorkeling trip. What with tendering and our relatively short time in Maui as well as this being our last stop, I do not feel at all comfortable straying too far afield (or asea) on our on.
