StephenJohnson Posted November 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2004 45 minutes is pretty iffy, even an hour is tight. After all, figure an average 20 minutes for gate-gate transit, that gives you only 25-40 minutes for delays, and that can get burned up pretty easily. Are there other flights that you could connect on and still make the ship / get home?
teamfour Posted November 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2004 DFW is a major hub for AA. Many times your cnnection will be in a different terminal. This will require you to board a tram to get to your next gate. 45 minutes is pushing it.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2004 I live near DFW airport and am very familiar with it. While it is the norm to have connections of 45 minutes to an hour, if you can avoid it I would go with a longer layover just to play it safe. If you can still change your flights without a penalty I would at least take a look at what other flights are available. Keith
