Sea Princess Itinerary Question

I noticed that Sea Princess has 14 day itineraries from Barbados and Ft Lauderdale for the 2006 winter Caribbean season. These itineraries overlap so that on day 7 the ship starts a new 14 day cruise at the opposite port. My question is, can you book just a one way 7 day segment from Barbados to Ft Lauderdale or Ft Lauderdale to Barbados? Thanks.
Something else I noticed was the difference in price. 14 days from Ft. Lauderdale is cheaper than 14 days from Barbados. Does anyone know why?
Not for sure, but this cynic's view is this: 14 days ex-Barbados is aimed at Brits. 14 days ex-Fort Lauderdale is aimed at the US market. We Brits get ripped off for cruises, and this I suspect is just another symptom of it.
