Fishing Tours from cruise ships

We have gone salmn fishing from Ketchikan several times and had a wonderful time doing this. You can have them ship what you catch back to your home if you would like.

Just a suggestion, but if you want to get lots of feedback on this question I would also post it on the Alaska Ports of Call Board.

I don't know how much time you have in port, but my husband has taken the Guided Fishing and Wilderness Dining tour in Ketchikan three times. It is an all day trip out to a private campsite where your catch is cleaned and is prepared along with food that is brought in (salad, blueberry cobbler etc) for lunch.

It is pricey, but he liked it more than the fishing he did in Juneau or Sitka.

I don't know a salmon from a catfish, but here are some of the fish he caught the last time he went on this tour.
