guy44134 Posted February 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I see on Travelocity that what appear to be better situated cabins are available in the same class I booked my recent cruise on (that is if the deck plans are correct-there seem to be cabins with much less of an obstructed view). Is it possible to request a change to a new cabin and does it cost anything? FYI-I booked over the telephone with Travelocity.
spongerob Posted February 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Call them and ask. It shouldn't be a big deal. Most agents would do it.
Sox Fan Cruiser Posted February 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2009 You can always cancel and rebook. Just have to make sure that that room you want is available. Princess won't charge you anything but Travelocity might hit you up for a cancellation fee.
paul929207 Posted February 8, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Call your TA and ask. Be sure to find out if there is any extra cost before you commit.
Sandytoes Posted February 8, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I don't think you'll have a problem. If you want to make a change in your booking just call their Sales and Customer Care Team . If the same cruise (same ship, sailing date, and stateroom category) is advertised at a lower rate than the cruise you booked, they promise to match the rate or if you have already paid in full, refund the difference. Stevesan Posted February 8, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I changed cabins only a week before sail date when a stateroom I lusted for opened up. No need to rebook. It was one category higher, but the Princess rep didn't charge extra (probably not worth the extra paperwork :p). Within the same category, there would certainly be no additional charge.
