Charleston Departure ?'s

It looks like it might be less of a hassle and about the same $ to stay at a "stay & park hotel," like HI Riverview, and shuttle to the pier/port rather than to drive to the port & park. Can anyone advise about this?

We are staying at the Inn at River Crossing. It is $55 for thier Crusin' in & out of Charleston. They keep your car for the week, get cont. breakfast, and they arrange transportation to the pier ($ not included). Hope that helps.

:eek: $55 ?! :eek: When are you booked? Isn't this hotel just across the river near the HI Riverview? Did you go through the hotel's website or another?

I know where this hotel is... good area. I would recommend it as someone who lives here. The Holiday Inn has some wonderful views if you are higher up but the area is not the best.

For the price I would take the one in Mt. Pleasant.

We booked a room here at the $55 rate -- it looks lovely... that sure beats the $110 charge just to park your car downtown! Plus, breakfast!

We stayed there (Inn at River Crossing) last Saturday night after our cruise. Good deal, nice rooms, good hot breakfast. You can't go wrong. Located on left at first light after you come over the bridge from Charleston.
