I have been fighting with which ship to take. My family and I are more about the ship as the vacation then the ports being important. Can anyone that has been on both ships give some pros and cons please.

I have read some great things on both ships so all things being equal which one would you take? thanks in advance:D

I've been on both and loved both. I would sail on either ship again in a heartbeat. I did like the Miracle slightly better. I prefer Spirit Class ships because they are easier to navigate and seem a little less crowded. I also liked that the aft pool deck is open. The Conquest Class ships the aft pool deck is enclosed so you must go up one deck to be on an open deck. Another difference is the main pool decks on Spirit Class ships are all one level but Conquest class ships are tiered. Also, if you like to be by the main pool during the day when the pool band plays I think the Spirit Class ships are better because they have a stage for the band right on the pool deck and room for dancing right on front of the stage. On the Liberty the band actually played on the deck right above the pool and there was no room for dancing. This didn't really matter to me because I wasn't interested in dancing but some other people were and there just wasn't a good area on the Liberty for dancing.

Me and my family were on both ships, too. Both are beautiful ships. The Liberty has the big movie screen out by the pool area. We never used it since it was very hot and humid. It's also a bigger ship than the Miracle and has 2 dining rooms. The Liberty also has Fish & Chips by the Lido buffet. The Miracle is also a great ship. She is easier to navigate.

We have 3 teens. They prefer the Club O2 lounge on the Liberty over the one on the Miracle.

I would go on either again.

We are going on the Miracle in October. This was the ship we took our first cruise on 4 years ago and we loved it. The Miracle has a sushi bar that is open in the early evening before the dinner. I never had any as I prefer cooked food LOL. We went on this cruise with other adult couples then took our teen son on the other cruise lines Freedom and Liberty which for kids is the absolute bomb. Either way its fun and your kids would enjoy either of these ships. I am not anti Carnival but it was hard to pass up the on board surfing and giant rock wall on the other ships.

We are mainly going with Carnival this time because we loved St Martaan and we want to do the southern stops and go to a volcano. Miracle is a very very nice ship. Another plus is its an 8 day cruise and actualy cheaper than most 6 or 7 day cruises.

Have been on both, and I think I prefer the larger ships - Liberty over Miracle. The gym was much larger on Liberty - on Miracle it was almost impossible to get a treadmill, even at 6 a.m. when the gym opened. We prefer the tiered seating on the decks, and I also liked watching CNN on the big screen on Liberty in the early a.m. We spent most of our time at the adult (aft) pools on both - too much noise with the band for us! I also liked the "entertainment" being on one deck (5) on Liberty, rather than split between two decks on Miracle. Food, cabins, entertainment, etc - all fine. Liked the piano bar location much better on Liberty. DD17 loved the fact that club 02 on Miracle was totally away from spying parent eyes - on Liberty it was right in the middle of deck 5, and she felt that everytime we passed by on the way to the piano bar, casino, etc., we would look in. (We did:p) I would take whichever ship had the itinerary/price that matched my needs. Would I sail Miracle again? Yes. Would I sail Liberty again - Yes!

Another vote for the Liberty. I felt it was a bigger ship with just a little more to offer the whole family. That being said, I loved the Miracle's theming - Frankenstein, Mad Hatter, etc.

Living in NY I have only been on the Miracle since that is its home port in Spring and Summer. If the Liberty came to NY I would love to try her. When the Legend was docked in NY we cruised on her and had a great time on either ship.:)

I have also been on both and was going to post the same thing! The Miracle was our first cruise and the one that hooked us. Since then I've sailed the Liberty twice and she's also a great ship as well. You really can't go wrong with either - it's a matter of personal preference of what you like.

I thought our Miracle cruise was more of a laid-back, relaxing type cruise - the nightlife was quiet and we usually went up to that open-air aft deck for coffee or a beer after the shows at night to just watch the ocean go by. The Liberty tends to have more of a hopping nightlife scene with all the bars clustered together and I probably had more "fun" on that ship - dancing at night, etc. So just depends on what you are looking for. I personally prefer the Spirit class layout and Lido deck but it wouldn't keep me from sailing the larger ships either.
