Distance from Punta Langosta Pier to Dzul Ha

I'm wondering if anyone could give me how far it is from the Punta Langosta Pier to Dzul Ha or Money Beach and what is your opinion on snorkeling there??? What would the taxi cost be - is the price per person or total that people mention?

I just found an old thread that states $8 taxi ride from this pier thou I'm not sure if this is per person or per cab. I may sound rather petty but I've really been taken by cab drivers in the caribbean and want to avoid any future problems.

Generally per cab for the first two riders, and $1 additional for each additional passenger.
