Restaurants Within Walking Distance of Harbor House

I know about the restaurants right there at the terminal. What other places are within walking distance of the Harbor House? Any fast food places? What about the Original Mexican Cafe, how far away is it?

 

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Original Mexican is at 14th & Market, quite a walk in a deserted part of town due to the flood.

Harbor House is at 21st and Harborside.

There are three restaurants on 14th - Original Mexican, Mosquito Cafe and Sunflower Bakery.

All are really good.

 

Sky Bar is at 21st and Post Office (Sushi and varied menu) I believe on Galveston.com you can access menus.

The restaraunt at Pier 21 has (had) great shrimp Po-boys, I am not sure if they have opened up after the hurricane....believe it was called the Pier 21 restaurant...there is also a Starbucks directly across the street from the Terminal...I know it is open...Willie G's has good seafood, but they are proud of their seafood (if you get my drift)

Years ago there was a Pier 21Resturant,

then it became Joe's Crab Shack.

It is NOT open.

 

If you want cheaper Seafood go to Benos on Seawall

or Shrimp and Stuff on 39th and O.

that is a shame!!! they had the BEST shrimp PO Boys....
