brenderlou Posted February 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2009 Hi all Wondering about the pool situation if anyone has been on the Century with young ones. Our 4 yr old can swim but like to play in shallow water more. Is the pool just one big deep pool or is there a shallow area for her to play (and us to rest!!!)? cb at sea Posted February 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2009 I don't know about a "shallow end", but most ship pools have a shallow "rim" where a child could sit/stand and splash. There may also be steps. You won't be able to just let a 4 yo be in the pool alone, anyway, tho.

The Century does not have the rim that we got use to on our Royal Caribbean cruises (I've already asked on the Celebrity board and saw pics). We would NEVER have our 4 yr old in any pool by herself even if there is a shallow end. I was asking about that because the pool will get very old, very fast if all she can do is swim or hold on to the edge due to no shallow area to play in....
