We are sailing on the mariner of the sea's on march 15th...any feed back on how the whale watching has been...i've heard if the waters stay cool they will stay to the south in the cabno area...but if the waters start warming to the north that they will migrate more north and the whale watching will not be that good...we have already booked the whale watch excursion...AND STILL NO CRUISE DOC'S YET...ITCHING TO DO THAT DOC DANCE ONCE AGAIN...

That is correct, you will be on the tail end of whales in Cobo. Best time to go is from late December to end of February. There may be some straglers by the time you get there. Good luck.

We took this trip in the Spring of 2007 during Spring Break in March and unfortunately the whale watching excursion was a waste of $140 for the two of us. We saw one whale out in distance but only part of him. They go straight out from Cabo and you can see as much on your ship so unless you are going in the height of whale season - save your money for the excursion. We did not even see dolphins. Daughter was extremely disappointed but we had a feeling since we were nearing the end of the season it was iffy.

thanks for the fedback...we understand that it is a big iffy to see anything and that we are probabaly better off looking out on our balcony heading towards cabo to see any whales...but the ladies want to go out so i guess we're going out...
