teacher2cruiser Posted February 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2009 I know I've read this somewhere recently, but I can't find it. Please help. What are the advantages of booking another Carnival cruise while at sea? In $$ what would it save me to do that plus apply a past guest rate? Thanks! msubobcats Posted February 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2009 and the only answer I remember was that you can buy some sort of gift certificate while on board towards a future cruise. Maybe $100 will get you a $200 future credit, or something like that. Nothing else that I remember. Wife and I will check this personally in 4/09 on our cruise, and check on booking Alaska for 2010. I plan on getting price quotes from PVP/website before sailing in 4/09, then compare to what is offered while on board. Go Cats
Payd Posted February 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2009 We purchased a certificate on board Freedom for $100. We can use it as part of our payment and will get a $100 additional OBC (on a seven day - OBC is different depending on length of cruise). It is combinable with some of the other offers like past guest.

tnt091605 Posted February 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2009 They only sell them on certain ships. They said they are going to be expanding the program. You pay $100 for a future booking. When you book they take $100 off the total price, (not the deposit). So you basically break even. Then they give you $50 OBC for a short cruise. $100 on 7 day cruises and $200 on longer cruises. You have to use it in 5 years or you can obtain a refund. We bought 2.
